From Icelandics to Warmbloods, big Breeding Facilities to Racetracks, in Germany, Elke Kofahl is widely experienced in horse management and training, riding and coaching.
Over the past 14 years in Canada, Elke has established her own teaching program at her home in Nova Scotia. She has found ways to define the principles of riding and to deepen the connection between Horse and Rider. Elke Kofahl is now travelling to inspire riders all over Canada with her weekend clinics.
Riding and teaching experience in Germany & Canada:
'07 - '08 traveling across Canada giving clinics.
‘94 - ‘07 long distance student of Amandus Rottensteiner.
‘93 - ‘94 worked as barn manager and head coach in a small private
barn (16 horses).
‘91 - ‘93 extensive training at Reit- und Fahrverein Rosenheim.
‘84 - ‘93 took several dressage and jumping courses; taught
private students, trained and showed horses at
intermediate level.
‘83 - ‘87 worked with dressage judge.
'82 - ‘86 worked on a trotter farm Gestuet Strasslach as a part
time apprentice in 'Breeding'. Learned horse
management, health and training.
‘80 - ‘83 regular riding lessons on Warmbloods, competed in
dressage and jumping shows at entry level. Took courses
with several instructors.
‘74 - ‘80 learned to ride on Icelandics.
